Upper crossed syndrome

Have you ever heard of Upper crossed syndrome before? Postural Signs of the Upper Crossed Syndrome is identified with:
Rounded shoulders,
Forward head,
Hyperextension of head,
Elevated shoulders,
Winging out of shoulder blades
Increased thoracic curve (kyphosis)

Anterior side of deep neck muscles and middle/thoracic back become weak and inhabited and upper back and chest muscles become short and tight caused by poor posture, desk work with sitting position for a long period of time.
In treating muscle imbalances as above anywhere in the body, it is important to release the short and tight muscles first and strengthen the week and inhabited muscles utilising Muscle Energy Technique.
